Patriotic

This is one I did for class. It was really hard to think of something creative with patriotism as a theme. I felt like everything for a patriotic theme has pretty much been done before.

Missionary

Richard drew this cartoon when he was on his mission. The Tweety Bird
(which was an inside joke) was drawn from memory, after 2 years of not seeing it.

Hair, anyone?

We need to get our scanner up and running so we can start scanning his pictures in. For now, they aren't the best copies, but we're going to try and make them better quality, so stay tuned!

This particular character is one of many characters he did from a book with this style of drawing in it. It is one of his favorite type of drawing styles that he likes to work with.

Woodland Hills Cabin

This is a picture of the house Richard grew up in, transformed into a cabin. He drew this freehand (no rulers) when he was 16 years old.

Richard did this drawing for a basic art class years ago, before he decided to go into art as a profession.

The Sailboat

This was one of my first assignments for my Digital Media class. The description below is the assignment description that was given to us.

Choose a topic of interest to be your theme-based project. Create a collage of text words describing your theme. Mix and match them together using filters, layer styles, layer affects, typefaces, fonts, styles, and opacity. Transform these words to be vertical, horizontal, flipped, and distorted to create a collage. Make it all look as 3-dimensional as possible.
