Walk Cycle

I have been having a really good time in my animation class. The professor worked with Disney for 11 years. I have been learning a lot about how to draw better but I am also learning how to actually animate. When I first saw my drawings come to life I couldn't get the smile off of my face. (even though they are just rough sketches)

Anyway, I will be fixing this later because it is meant to be a lot smoother. If you look at the hole punches at the bottom you can see that they don't line up from frame to frame. I just don't have the equipment to do it yet and my scanner makes it jump around a little. JUST CLICK ON THE IMAGE!

DeAnNa's Ornaments

This is a set of ornaments that I made for DeAnna on year. I gave them to her in a wooden box lined with rabbit fur that I made. You can see it in the background.

A Few More

For a while I was drawing a picture like this every day just to get some practice in. (I have always felt that drawing is where I need the most improvement.) These are a few that I like.

I should mention that this last one I drew from a book by Chris Hart. (he is awsome by the way)

Shadow Shapes

These are from my scetchbook when I was in art 1010. We were to take objects and give them one source of light. Then we were only to draw shadows. My favorites are the little tribal animal carvings that Betsy got in Africa.

Sculptures

Some of these are chess pieces to a set I am working on.

This is the king. His sword has real gold on the surface, the beads are hematite and the chain on his boot is sterling silver.

These dwarfs were the castle pieces. They have the same silver chains and hematite beads as the king. And their capes are rabbit fur.

These dragons are the knights.

These are the pawns. They had more hair but the clay I use is pretty brittle and they have broken.

Dracula

These are drawn from Ben Caldwell's graphic novel Dracula, The colors are a little hard or soft because of the scanning process.
